Former Mexican President
President Vincente Fox
Former Mexican president (2000-2006)
A politician and a business Leader, Vincente Fox's presidency ended the 71-year rule of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He began his career with Coca-Cola in Mexico, eventually becoming its CEO in Mexico and Latin America. In politics, he joined the National Action Party (PAN) in 1987, served as a congressman, and was elected governor of Guanajuato in 1995. His presidential platform focused on ending corruption and improving the economy. While in office, he worked on trade relations, civil unrest, and indigenous rights.
Jorge Suárez-Vélez
Managing Director, Allen & Company Investment Advisors
Jorge Suárez-Vélez was a founding partner of SP Family Office, LLC from 2009 to 2015, CEO of ING Private Wealth Management, LLC from 2004 to 2009. Previously, he worked for other Swiss, Japanese and Mexican financial institutions. In 2011, Random House published his book La Próxima Gran Caída de la Economía Mundial (The Coming Downturn of the World Economy), and in 2013 Ahora o Nunca, La Gran Oportunidad de México Para Crecer (Now or Never, The Great Opportunity for Mexico to Grow). Both books remained on the best-seller list for months. He has been speaker at events of the Council of Foreign Relations, the Council of the Americas, Aspen Institute, Milken Institute Global Conference, Columbia University, Penn University, Pace University, FIU, and dozens of conferences throughout the Americas.
